Dublin Bus wishes to announce changes to services in Ballycullen, Knocklyon, Terenure, Rathgar, Rathmines, Malahide Road, Clare Hall and Clongriffin areas from Sunday 18th December 2011 which will deliver more direct, high frequency and punctual bus services with improved cross city connections.
Changes will be implemented on Routes 15, 15a, 15b, 15e, 15f, 74, 74a, 128 and 140.
Routes 15, 74 and 128 will be amalgamated and renamed Route 15. On the south of the city the terminus will now be at Stocking Avenue. The route will be extended from Knocklyon Road to Stocking Avenue via St. Colmcille’s Way and Ballycullen Road. Route 15 will operate every 10 minutes and provide a high frequency cross city service connecting Ballycullen to Clongriffen. Direct connections can now be made from these areas to Terenure, Rathmines, Luas Green Line, St. Stephen’s Green, Trinity College, Eden Quay, Bus Aras, Connolly Rail Station, IFSC, Luas Red Line and Fairview.
Route 15a will operate its current alignment to the City Centre and then operate to Docklands
via the North and South Quays. Timetables will be adjusted and integrated with Route 15b from
Routes 15b and 74a will be amalgamated and renamed Route 15b. This service will operate from
Stocking Avenue to the City Centre via Stocking Lane, Scholarstown Road, Ballyboden Way,
Ballyroan Road, Marian Road, Rathfarnham Village and Bushy Park Road to Docklands.This will significantly improve travel times for customers.
Timetables will be adjusted and integrated with Route 15a from Docklands.
