Sportivate South Dublin is a joint initiative of South Dublin County Council & Dublin & Dunlaoghaire Education & Training Board.
This programme caters for participants primarily between the ages of 18 and 25 years of age who are interested in breaking into the sports industry in some capacity or furthering their educational opportunities. The participants will learn many aspects and requirements of the sports industry and will also develop the necessary practical skills to enable to secure employment in the industry or enhance their prospects of going onto further education. Participants undertake a programme of education which includes: Sports & Recreation studies FETAC level 4 (Major Award) & certified workshops. All applicants must have Junior Certificate or equivalent to be eligible and an interest in sport. The programme is supported by the Department of Social Protection. We provide football (and hurling) for Boys, Girls, Men and Women from the age of 4 and up. Our hurling section has only started up so we only have hurling up to 12 years of age.
