Lick of Paint 2025

13/5/2025

On Sunday, 11th May 2025, the residents of Prospect Manor in Rathfarnham came together for a fantastic community effort that left our estate sparkling! A dedicated group of residents rolled up their sleeves and gave the entrance a vibrant refresh, focusing on the bus area and pedestrian lights. The transformation is stunning, and it’s a testament to the spirit and pride we share in our beautiful estate, just nine kilometres from Dublin city centre.
The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and a few splashes of paint. The gals (and perhaps a few lads!) worked tirelessly to brighten up the area, ensuring every corner of the entrance looked welcoming and well-cared for. Their hard work paid off, and the newly painted bus area and pedestrian lights now stand as a cheerful gateway to our community.
After the brushes were cleaned and the paint cans sealed, the group celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved prosecco or two. It was the perfect way to toast to their efforts and enjoy some quality time together, basking in the glow of a job well done.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this uplifting project. Your commitment to keeping Prospect Manor a desirable and well-maintained estate is truly inspiring. Here’s to more community initiatives and many more moments of coming together to make our home even better!
Well done, Prospect Manor residents—you’ve made us all proud!

Brushstrokes of Unity: Prospect Manor's Colourful Community Makeover

23/5/2024

PictureA fresh coat of charm: Prospect Manor's wooden railings gleam with renewed vitality, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our Residents Association.
Hello, fellow Prospect Manor residents!
I am thrilled to share with you the amazing work that some of our Prospect Manor Residents Association members accomplished last week. It's always heartwarming to see our community come together, and this time, it was to give our estate a much-needed makeover.

The wooden rails on Stocking Lane and the Heath had been looking a bit worn, and our dedicated Residents Association members decided to take action. With paintbrushes in hand and a splash of colour in their hearts, they transformed the rails into a vibrant, welcoming sight. The difference is truly astounding, and I'm sure you'll all agree that their hard work has paid off.

But that's not all! Our Residents Association members also turned their green thumbs towards our flower beds, preparing them for the beautiful bedding flowers that will soon grace our community. With summer just around the corner, we can't wait to see our estate bloom and flourish, thanks to their tireless efforts.

The cleared flower beds await vibrant summer blooms, with the majestic Prospect Manor House standing proudly in the background.

Living in Prospect Manor, we are all fortunate to have the Residents Association working behind the scenes to make our community a better place. From organising events to maintaining the grounds, their dedication and passion are evident in everything they do.

I would like to extend my personal gratitude, and I'm sure I speak for us all, to the Prospect Manor Residents Association for their unwavering commitment to our community. Their efforts have not only made our estate more beautiful but have also fostered a sense of pride and unity among us all.
Next time you walk by the freshly painted rails or the blooming flower beds, take a moment to appreciate the hard work of our Residents Association members. And, if you're not already a member, I highly encourage you to consider joining. It's a fantastic way to get involved, meet new people, and make a difference in our community.
Once again, thank you to the Prospect Manor Residents Association. We are proud to be part of such a caring and dedicated community.

Warm regards,
Derek (Website Maintainer)

Let's make every bin lid a closed one...

5/2/2023

Greetings, Prospect Manor residents! As the birds begin to chirp and the flowers start to bloom, let's all make a collective effort to ensure that our waste stays contained and our community remains tidy. By simply closing the lid on our trash bins before leaving them out for collection, we can prevent any unwanted feathered visitors from rummaging through our rubbish and making a mess.
A closed lid not only helps keep our streets and driveways clean, but it also reduces the risk of litter spreading and becoming an eyesore in our beautiful community. And who knows, it may even encourage our neighbours to follow suit and embrace a cleaner and greener way of living.
So, let's do our part in keeping Prospect Manor a neat and tidy place to call home. As always, we appreciate your hard work and cooperation in making this a better community for all. Thank you for your attention, and let's make every bin lid a closed one!

Some residents association members gave the front entrance a fresh coat of paint.  They also cleaned painted the wood rail along stocking lane bus stop. The rails were done over a couple of weeks.  Proper professional ;)
