Dear Resident,
Just 4 things to update you on regarding the Shannon Homes SHD for 496 units on the former Augustinian lands. 1️⃣ The deadline for making an objection to An Bord Pleanala is this Monday 29th June. If you haven’t made an objection - you can always come along and sign the Master Objection and donate the fee of €20 you would have paid to An Bord Pleanala to our ‘fighting fund’ instead. We will be outside Whitechurch Library on Taylor’s Lane on the following days: Thurs 25th - 7.30pm - 8.30pm Friday 26th - 7.30pm - 8.30pm Saturday 27th - 11am to 12.30pm 2️⃣ We continue to add information, news and analysis to our fundraising webpage - just scroll down to the Update Section. Please share this link with as many people because our ability to get the word out & fundraise is restricted with Covid. See link: https://www.ifundraise.ie/5367_ballyboden-tidy-towns.html 3️⃣ We also have a YouTube channel called Ballyboden Tidy Towns and we have uploaded a short film about the development called ‘ Ballyboden - Only 7 Trees will Remain’ See link : https://youtu.be/5KsgezfEXhE The film is also on our fundraising webpage. 4️⃣ Watch out for our Community Noticeboards that we will be installing in the area in the next day or so with more information. Again, we would kindly ask you to share this WhatsApp text with as many people. It is making a difference to our efforts and we are very grateful for your help and support. Kind regards Angela O’Donoghue Chairperson Ballyboden Tidy Town Hi all,
My name is Gerry White, and I am one of the co-ordinators of the Ballyboden St Endas Christmas tree collection service. This is the 7th year of the service, and it is proving to be very popular. For the small price of just €7, we will call to your home and collect and dispose of your Christmas tree. We dispose of them in conjunction with South Dublin County Council, so all trees will be shredded and used in the various local parks. Of course it also saves you the bother of dropping the tree to the local collection points, and the clean-up of your car afterwards! I am writing to you all asking for a little assistance. We would be delighted if you would post details of the collection on your websites, and also post on your Facebook/Twitter accounts. 'Ballyboden St Endas will be collecting Christmas trees on Saturday 11th January between 9am-3pm. If you would like to have your tree collected please text or whatsApp your name & address to 087 9312851. All proceeds go to our Juvenile Development' Thanking you in advance, and we wish you all a great 2020!. If you have any queries please contact me on 087 9312851, Regards, Gerry White Dear Residents,
