TO: Prospect Manor Residents Association Just a short note on my observations and recommendations regarding the trees at Prospect Manor. I noticed many trees were damaged by vans and Lorries driving around the estate. There were also many low branches overhanging footpaths hitting pedestrians. With this in mind I decided the priority was to crown lift 90% of the trees in the estate. We removed all lower branches and dead and diseased wood in the trees. There are a number of Ash trees in a bad state, improper pruning methods from previous years may be a contributory factor. Crown reduction was needed to make them safe. Two in particular may need to be removed. I will monitor their response to corrective pruning. A number of trees were planted too close to street lighting and some crown reductions were needed. Trees need time to recover from branch removal. Removal of too much branch wood can seriously damage the trees and even render them dangerous. If the residents have any issues with trees in the estate, I will be happy to discuss possible solutions for their concerns. We would like to thank all the residents for their cooperation while the work was been carried out. Kind regards ________________________________ ( Oliver F.
